Wilshire/Fairfax station is an under construction, undergroundrapid transit (known locally as a subway) station on theD Line of theLos Angeles Metro Rail system inLA's Miracle Mile area alongWilshire Boulevard at its intersection withFairfax Avenue. It is slated to open during the Winter of 2026.[1] It will be served by theD Line (formerly Purple) and will be the second station west ofWilshire/Western station.[2][3][4]
This is one of two possible transfer stations with theK Line Northern Extension toHollywood under study, the other beingWilshire/La Brea station.[5]
Adjacent to the new station isHancock Park, aLos Angeles city park. Various museums surround the park, including theLos Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), theGeorge C. Page Museum, theAcademy Museum of Motion Pictures and theLa Brea Tar Pits pavilions. Among others on Wilshire Boulevard, they make up the "Museum Row" in Miracle Mile.[6] ThePetersen Automotive Museum andCraft Contemporary are within walking distance.

Television City,Farmers Market, theWriters Guild of America West Library and Headquarters, andThe Grove are a half mile north on Fairfax Avenue from this station.
