Williamsburg Transportation Center is anintermodal transit station inWilliamsburg, Virginia. Operated by theWilliamsburg Area Transit Authority, it also servesAmtrak'sNortheast Regional train as well asGreyhound Lines andHampton Roads Transit intercity buses. The transportation center was formerly aChesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O) passenger station.

In 1873, theChesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O) line led byCollis P. Huntington had connected Richmond with theOhio River Valley atHuntington, West Virginia. In 1881, thePeninsula Extension of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway brought the line east to the new city ofNewport News. Williamsburg initially allowed tracks to be placed down the main street of town,Duke of Gloucester Street, and even directly through the ruins of the historic capitol building. As regular service was established, the main line was soon relocated slightly north.
Williamsburg's original station was replaced in 1907 with a brick structure, in conjunction with thetercentenary of Jamestown. Then in 1935, the 1907 station was replaced with the present station building with funding fromJohn D. Rockefeller Jr.
C&O passenger service to Williamsburg was replaced in 1971 by Amtrak.
The station is served by twoAmtrak trains a day in each direction, with direct service toNewport News,Richmond, and points along theNortheast Corridor from Washington DC through New York City to Boston.Intercity bus service is provided byGreyhound Lines (Carolina Trailways),Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) and theWilliamsburg Area Transit Authority.
