British film producer (1942–2021)

William P. Cartlidge (June 16, 1942 – March 3, 2021) was an English film and television producer.

Life and career

William P. Cartlidge was born on June 16, 1942.[1]

Cartlidge worked on threeJames Bond films, each of which was directed byLewis Gilbert. He was the first assistant director for the 1967 filmYou Only Live Twice, the associate producer for the 1977 filmThe Spy Who Loved Me, and the associate producer for the 1979 filmMoonraker.[2][3]

In 2002, Cartlidge was nominated for anEmmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries at the54th Primetime Emmy Awards for his work as the producer ofDinotopia.[4]

Cartlidge died on March 3, 2021. He was 78 years old.[1][2]
