William Henry Munger (October 12, 1845 – August 11, 1915) was aUnited States district judge of theUnited States District Court for the District of Nebraska.
Born inBergen,New York, Mungerread law in 1868. He was in private practice inFremont,Nebraska from 1869 to 1878, inOmaha, Nebraska from 1878 to 1879, returning to Fremont from 1879 to 1897.[1]
On February 1, 1897, Munger was nominated by PresidentGrover Cleveland to a seat on theUnited States District Court for the District of Nebraska vacated by JudgeWilliam Douglas McHugh. Munger was confirmed by theUnited States Senate on February 18, 1897, and received his commission the same day, serving thereafter until his death on August 11, 1915, in Omaha.[1]
