William Dillingham,D.D. (c. 1617–1689) was an English academic in the 17th century, known as aNeo-Latin poet.[1][2]
Dillingham was born inBarnwell, Northamptonshire and educated atOundle School. He enteredEmmanuel College, Cambridge in 1636 and graduated B.A in 1640 and M.A. in 1643.[3] He wasFellow from 1642 until 1653, andMaster from1653 to 1662.[4] He wasVice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge from 1659 to 1660.[5] He wasRector ofOdell, Bedfordshire from 1662 until his death in 1689.[6]
