TheWild Weißeritz (German:Wilde Weißeritz,Czech:Divoká Bystřice) is a river in theCzech Republic and in the German state ofSaxony which drains the easternOre Mountains. It is the longest tributary of theWeißeritz.
The valley of the Wild Weißeritz is almost free of settlements. The Wild Weißeritz runs throughTharandt just some kilometres before it forms theWeißeritz together with the tributaryRed Weißeritz inFreital.
The river feeds two water reservoirs for drinking water abstraction (Klingenberg Reservoir [ceb;de] andLehnmühle Reservoir [ceb;de]).
