WikiProject Iraq, theDeveloping Countries WikiContest will be returning for a second year, andsign-ups are now open! The contest will run from 1 July to 30 September, and the objective remains the same: improve as many articles relating to developing countries as you can to help fightsystemic bias on Wikipedia.
In other news, we have a new face on the coordinator team this year: last year's sixth-place finisher,Arconning (talk ·contribs)! The coordinators would like to extend a sincere thanks toIxtal (talk ·contribs), who is leaving the team, without whom the contest would not exist. After feedback from contestants last year, the scoring rules are undergoing some modifications; the new rules and a summary of the changes made will be posted to thecontest talk page shortly.
If you have any questions, please leave a message on the contest talk page, use the{{@DCWC coordinators}} template, or contact one of the coordinators:Arconning (talk ·contribs),sawyer777 (talk ·contribs), orTechnoSquirrel69 (talk ·contribs).(To unsubscribe from these updates, remove this talk page fromthis list.) The articleAl-Quwa Al-Jawiya Stadium has beenproposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unreferenced for almost 19 years. It doesn't even exist any more, having been demolished. Sources that might have existed before are disappearing fromlinkrot.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may bedeleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the{{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in youredit summary or onthe article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing{{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop theproposed deletion process, but otherdeletion processes exist. In particular, thespeedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, andarticles for deletion allows discussion to reachconsensus for deletion.Bearian (talk)22:21, 27 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
