Requesting update to the SimulationX Wiki page

[edit]
I have written down the most important and pressing updates for the pageSimulationX. these summarises the recent purchase of ESI Group by Keysight Technologies along with the latest updates on the software. Below is the proposal. Can you please have it updated? We need the updated wiki page upto date to manage the overall messaging and positioning of the product. thank you.
- The infobox needs an update: Developer is now Keysight Technologies (because ESI Group who owned SimulationX was bought by Keysight in 2025.)^ The latest stable release is Version 2025.1 (4.7.2.82805, DEC 2025)^^. Current product pages is^
- In the intro para, please include that SimulationX is now developed and sold by Keysight Technologies as a part of their Design Engineering & CAE software portfolioˆ
- History: Please include the PR for last two acquisitions with the latest being by Keysight Technologies.ESI Acquires ITIGmBH &Keysight acquires ESI
- Libraries: in this section can you mention a summary of all the libraries supported. These are domain-specific libraries for mechanics and multibody systems, power transmission, electrical engineering, hydraulics and pneumatics, thermal-fluid systems, and torsional vibration analysis.^ this page summarises all the libraries in the current production versions
- Interfaces: in this section pls update the link to ‘Unigraphics/NX’ ->Siemens NX. I guess it is now part of Siemens.
- In the FEA/FEM please includePAM-Crash / VPS. This is supported by the research paper titled “FMI Based Integration of System Simulation and FEM for efficient Simulation of Realistic Crash Scenarios” presented at the NAFEMS World Congress 2023 (refer)
- Can you add a new section : Licensing In this section we need to mention a modular, the token based licensing model for SimulationX which helps users of all sizes to use specific functional modules and domain libraries according to their requirements.^

Potential additional reliable sources

[edit]

I was hoping to engage the right group about evaluating the reliability of howtogeek.com and thenewstack.io, then getting the resulting consensus added to the right place (e.g.WP:RS). I couldn't find aWP:RS-style list in the Computing nor Software projects, but I did finda smaller list in the FOSS task force. Is there something that I'm missing, or isWP:RS it?

I found a previous discussion on HTGhere, so not sure if I should be just starting a new topic there, or if I should be engaging members of this Project (or a sub-project) first?WidgetKidchat me20:35, 18 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Scope clarification: cloud computing

[edit]

Cloud computing is barely referenced within this WikiProject, despite being a significant part of modern computing. I actively contribute to articles related to cloud computing, cloud service providers and I would like to participate in WikiProject Computing with a focus on these areas. I am considering proposing that cloud computing be explicitly included in the project scope, to better reflect current editorial practice. Before doing so, I would like to ask whether this requires prior consensus on the talk page or whether a direct edit would be appropriate.Azarboon (talk)09:19, 23 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I think that can be added boldly and I have done so. If there is enough interest, we can even build a taskforce for it. ~Kvng (talk)14:47, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Asking for help with draft article

[edit]

Hello! Sorry for the intrusion, but I was wondering if I could get some assistance on a draft article I've been putting together forcyberdecks. I don't have a ton of experience with the technical ins-and-outs of the topic and would appreciate the expertise!Superraptor123 (talk)21:15, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
