Requesting AWB rights for updating deprecated CS1 parameters to their current forms ("accessdate" to "access-date", "archiveurl" to "archive-url", "archivedate" to "archive-date", etc.).RedShellMomentum20:52, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I do a bunch of{{short description}} edits, especially "none"-ifying the SDs for pages likeFishing industry in Canada andAthletics at the 1920 Summer Olympics – Men's 110 metres hudles. AWB sounds like it would make this easier: it sounds like I could load up a category likeCategory:Women's events at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, use a regex to find and delete any non-"none" short descriptions, and append{{short description|none}} to the beginning of each article. I also like the sound of the regex typo-fixing feature.
I also request permission for the JS Wiki Browser, because I run Linux and do not quite trust Wine to make AWB work properly.

I sometimes find myself doing REFSPACE fixes while doing NPP work, so I'd like JWB so I can do this to all recently patrolled pages. I might also do some other miscellaneous fixes, or I might end up never using it at all (I'm very good at procrastinating). I understand the AWB rules and won't use it for anything contentious.lp0 on fire ()01:12, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
To assist in the many repetitive edits I do in aviation and aircraft articles. We have deprecated template coding that needs to be removed, outdated section headers (e.g. Survivors to Surviving aircraft or Aircraft on display) and left over coding from the article creation wizard that causes excessive white space. There are probably more tasks that it could help with after learning how to use it and gaining practical experience.Nimbus(Cumulusnimbusfloats by)19:42, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I frequently work on changing certain phrases to comply withMOS:DISABILITY guidelines (eg; changing "mentally retarded" to "intellectually disabled"). See [here] for examples. I make sure to check that the text is not part of a quote/citation and that it's not a proper noun before removing.Shocksingularity (talk)02:09, 16 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
As a member ofWikiProject Unreferenced Articles, I sometimes help in the tagging of articles as unreferenced. A backlog drive is coming up soon so I will be increasing my tagging in the coming weeks. This task usually takes several steps but could be made easier with AWB. I do plan on using JWB as I am on Mac but as I understand it this is the RfP page for both.
