This project relates to rapid mass transit and will cover public and privateurban passenger transportation systems in given metropolitan areas that useelevated trains,subways (underground trains), or a combination of both. This project does not include buses or other mass transit that is not considered rapid when compared to trains and subways. For buses, seeWikiProject Buses.
Goals
This project is an attempt to better organize and improve the quality of the information on Wikipedia related torail transportation such assubways,light rail,trams and anything else that may fall under the category "rapid transit".
Superbfc (talk·contribs) - traffic engineer by profession; but apart from that, I'm a nice person who is really more into rail transport than roads. I created the articlesNational Tariff System andHaxo (Paris Métro) and have made minor edits on various other rail/rapid transport-related pages.
