ThisWikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the countries of theMicronesia with a spirit of cooperation.

The goals of this project are to:

• create, improve, and maintain articles relating to the countries of theMicronesia and the surrounding area, their history, people, geography, and culture. Included are the independent nations ofFederated States of Micronesia,Kiribati,Marshall Islands,Nauru, andPalau, and the territories ofGuam,Johnston Atoll,Northern Mariana Islands, andWake Island.

The scope of this project is all articles which fall in theCategory:Micronesia. We acknowledge up front that there may be other WikiProjects, both now and in the future, which deal directly with individual nations or areas within the above. We are grateful for their efforts, and will concentrate our own on those areas which are not covered by a currently existing project.

• Create, expand, and maintain articles relevant to Micronesia.
• Add all articles within the scope of this project to theWikipedia:WikiProject Micronesia/Articles list.
• Check these articles for improvements, vandalism, and other activity with therecent changes function.
