Project Scope

The project generally considersany topic related toGreece,Greeks and their history, from ancient until modern times, to be within its purview. That includes:

Internal structure

  • Departments, tasked with coordinating work on certain specialized tasks central to the project's function.
    • TheAssessment Department provides guidelines onassessing article quality. The resulting article ratings are used within the project to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work, and are also expected to play a role in theWP:1.0 program. The assessments are done by any member of the group through parameters in the{{WikiProject Greece}} project banner.
    • TheOutreach Department acts as the project's central point of coordination for recruiting new members and maintaining the interest of current participants. Its primary activity is the production of monthly project newsletters.

TheWikiProject Greece Barnstar is the project's official award, to be bestowed on anyone who has made significant contributions to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Greece-related articles or to the project itself. It may be awarded by any user, and project members are encouraged to use it to recognize the outstanding work of others. Award by pasting{{subst:BarnstarWPGreece|message ~~~~}} onto an editor's talk page. Alternatively, and for general contributions regarding Greek-related issues, theGreek Barnstar of National Merit or theThe Greece Barnstar of National Merit may be awarded by using{{subst:Greek Barnstar of National Merit|message ~~~~}} and{{subst:The Greece Barnstar of National Merit|message ~~~~}} respectively.

Project banner
