This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related toMartial arts. It is one of manydeletion lists coordinated byWikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page atWP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page atWP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add{{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in theedit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding{{subst:delsort|Martial arts|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a fewscripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed bya bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod,CfD,TfD etc.) related to Martial arts. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except{{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and{{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with{{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia'sdeletion policy andWP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Subject failsWP:GNG, andWP:ANYBIO for not having significant coverage from independent, reliable sources whereby the sources talk about the subject in length and in depth and not only passing mentioned for verification. Fight records/announcements/results are considered routine sport report and they can not be used to contribute to the notability guidelines. The legal issues are mostly from interviews which means the sources are not independent and fail meeting notability requirements. The subject also failsWP:NBOX,WP:NMMA,WP:NKICK for not meeting the said criteria. Cassiopeiatalk23:43, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No evidence of notability. Lack of reliable sourcing is evident, and aWP:BEFORE only shows coverage from social media sites. FailsWP:GNG.CycloneYoristalk!08:30, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Subject failsWP:GNG andWP:NMMA for not havingsignificant coverage fromindependent, reliable sources where by the sources talk about the subject in length and in depth and not passing mentioned forverification. All fight fight records/reports (announcements and results) are considered routine report and can not contribute to the notability requirements. His highest world ranking is 28 - seehere which out of the requirement of NMMA of world top 10. Cassiopeiatalk04:05, 9 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete The article has zero references and the only ones mentioned appear to be fight results and announcements, which any pro fighter would have. Therefore,WP:GNG is not met (nor isWP:ANYBIO). Fightmatrix shows he's never even competed against a top 20 fighter and he clearly fails to meetWP:NMMA. There are no sources for claims of his judo successes and he's not listed among Pan American Game medalists in judo, so that claim appears wrong. Claims of world championship medals should at least include the organization's name (and preferably dates) to help verification.Papaursa (talk)15:41, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
