This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related toIsrael. It is one of manydeletion lists coordinated byWikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page atWP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page atWP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
Edit this page and add{{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in theedit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding{{subst:delsort|Israel|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed bya bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod,CfD,TfD etc.) related to Israel. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except{{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and{{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with{{prodded}} will suffice.

Delete This page is not a useful DAB page. It also fails as a set/list article as the various articles are on different subjects.Guz13 (talk)02:03, 16 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Prod removed for the reason "Proposed deletion is only for non-controversial topics" but no reason was given why this topic is controversial. I prodded because the sources do not meetWP:NCORP. Sources 1, 4 and 8 are its own website, the rest are about exhibitions that mention the gallery only in passing as the location of the exhibition.Here2rewrite (talk)03:38, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: The article makes this claim: "Half a year later it was certified platinum with sales of over 40,000 copies." If someone can verify this claim (probably at the trade association for Israeli record companies), that would establish notability.Eastmain (talk •contribs)03:15, 6 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
HiEastmain andSenshiSun: Thanks for caring. The distribution figures at Hewiki are from the Israeli Phonography Association. Here is an independent source for the platinum status of the album, the 40,000 copies sold, and the article's importance. Yediot is "only" the best sold newspaper in Israel. Looking for sources, it is fair to say that a lot has been written and continues to be written about this debut album ofIvri Lider.Article list1article list 2 Lider is a famous Israeli singer, who was Israeli Singer of the Year in 2005, both in classification ofKol Yisrael andGalei Tzahal. No problem with any album notability. The only problem I see is that the article is rather short, as is the article on Lider, which could suggest that merging with positive prejudice is a good solution. I hope that someone finds time to create well-developed articles on all these artists and albums one day. We carry so much PR stuff, then when people are actually famous (and their albums are well-known) we fall short.gidonb (talk)03:53, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
