AtFair Weather Fiends in 2021, IPSpecial:Contributions/160.62.14.13 was blocked for edit-warring, repeatedly recreating pages from redirects. SonicZoom77 arrived in 2025 and recreated the page from redirect,[1] and after this was reverted, TA ~2025-40937-36 recreated it again.[2] That TA has been edit-warring to restore pages from redirect.[3]
AtTemplate:Woody Woodpecker, SonicZoom77 re-added "Fair Weather Fiends",[4] and then TA ~2025-40937-36 added more pages recreated from redirect,[5] joined by Clone25.[6]
The TAs are behaving the same way at cartoon pages. Both ~2025-40937-36 and ~2025-38912-47 made the same useless edit request.[7][8]
MailJail was also busy tweaking cartoon pages, pullingQuiet Please! out of redirect.[9]
Hhrlan23 brought a bunch of hon-notable cartoon pages out of redirect,[10] getting warned and revdeled for copying and pasting text from elsewhere. SeeUser_talk:Hhrlan23#Wikipedia_and_copyright. After Hhrlan23 tookThe Missing Mouse out of redirect, two hours later the TA ~2025-40937-36 came along to tighten it.[11]
I have agf-sock warned Coolkitty and MailJail. I presume they are the same person. I do not believe they are behaviourally or technically linked to this case. --asilvering (talk)03:18, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think Clone and Hhrlan are the same person, and having looked harder for connections I would go withPossible and notUnrelated. I also think they're related to the master. So I'll block both of those. --asilvering (talk)03:38, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Some behavioral analysis (I havenot looked at any CU/TAIV data, including the logs):
I would be shocked ifMailJail isSonicZoom77. SonicZoom77'swork at Fair Weather Fiends consists of a totally un-Wikipedia plot summary. Zero formatting, zero links, zero citations, zero templates, and lines likeSuddenly, a terrible storm sinks their ship at sea. Two days before, MailJail'swork at Quiet Please! is complete with citations, an infobox, and sections; most importantly, the plot section reads completely different.
Hard to connect Hhrlan23 with anyone based on their article creations, which all AFAICS lack plot summaries. That is, of course, a datapoint, but I can't do any linguistic variation analysis on empty plot sections. The leads of the created articles (1,2) are similar in structure to that of MailJail (a), but the are all quite short boilerplate "X is a [Year] [Nationality] film blah blah blah". I wouldn't base any part of a block on the fact that some of these leads are similar; someone using the format of another article as a guide is a more likely explanation.
Not seeing many similarities between Clone25 and either of the three other named accounts. I would also say "unrelated behaviorally";Get Lost! Little Doggy reads quite different to the other articles. But that's just based on vibes; I don't have deep analysis of the writing styles.
I would file this as "editors to keep an eye on" rather than "block 'em all". I don't think they are related, but that's mostly from an absence of smoking guns. Best,HouseBlaster (talk • he/they)02:42, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
