WikiConference North America in New York City is being hosted byWikimedia NYC onSaturday, November 12, 2022, as a local satellite event of the primarily onlineWikiConference 2022. See thefull event schedule covering November 11-13.
In keeping with the online conference's partnership this year with Mapping USA and theme of "open knowledge allies", we are highlightingOpenStreetMap NYC efforts and other local organizing around variouscommunities of practice.
It is a successor to last year'sWiki-Pavilion in Prospect Park for WikiConference North America 2021, and functions as a follow-up with a similar format to last month'sWikidata Day at Brooklyn Public Library .
All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC'sCode of Conduct. In addition, to participate in person you should be vaccinated and also be sure to respect others' personal space, and we may limit overall attendance size if appropriate. Brooklyn Public Library encourages the wearing of masks when indoors, and especially be mindful of those in your proximity.
The all-day event will feature beginner workshops, keynote presentations, breakout group discussions, andlightning talks.
See the first day(11/11/2022) recording here.
