TheGraphics Lab helps improve all graphical content stored onWikimedia Commons and the English Wikipedia.
Wikigraphists work toimprove the quality of the images that have beenproposed by the community. This involves work such asextracting key elements from photos, improving the color of images or emphasizing the main subject, "stitching" multiple images together and oftenvectorizing images — converting toScalable Vector Graphics (SVG). We alsocreate new drawings, diagrams and maps when requests are made to do so.
Interested in helping out? Check out theuploading standards, then go to one of theworkshops you are skilled at, and lend a hand. You can also add your entry toWikigraphist abilities and yourself toCategory:Wikigraphists you can also add{{User Wikigraphist}} or{{Mbox Wikigraphist}} to your userpage.
Can't draw a thing? You can still help us: We need people to find images that need improvement and to submit them. Anyone can make requests, even unregistered users.
For examples of work done by the Graphics Lab, seethe archives of past work.
Images will be improved on request of a user/IP who submits a request on any of thethree image workshops. An explanation of how to do that is shown at the top of the page.
