The 2005–06 season was the 108th in the competitive history of Arsenal Football Club. It began on 1 July 2005 and concluded on 30 June 2006, with competitive matches played between August and May. It was the final season that Arsenal played at Highbury (Arsenal Stadium), before moving to theEmirates Stadium the following season. UnderArsène Wenger, Arsenal finished the season in fourth, whilst also reaching thefinal of theUEFA Champions League. The final, which Arsenal lost againstBarcelona, is the onlyUCL final that Arsenal have reached.
