White Solomon Graves III (born March 20, 1942) is a formerAmerican footballdefensive back who played four seasons in theAmerican Football League (AFL) with theBoston Patriots andCincinnati Bengals. He was drafted by the Boston Patriots in the 17th round of the1965 AFL Draft. He playedcollege football atLouisiana State University and attended Crystal Springs High School inCrystal Springs, Mississippi.[2]
Graves played college football for theLSU Tigers. He was named to the Academic All-SEC team in 1964.[3]
Graves was selected by theBoston Patriots with the 135th pick in the1965 AFL Draft. He played in forty games for the Patriots from 1965 to 1967.[2]
He played in two games for theCincinnati Bengals during the1968 season.[2]
His son, Sol Graves, playedquarterback for the LSU Tigers.[3][4]
