West Coast Rangers Football Club is an amateurfootball club based inWhenuapai,New Zealand.
Formed in 2021 as an amalgamation betweenWaitakere City[1] andNorwest United,[2] West Coast Rangers currently competed in theNRFL Championship.
The women's team currently competes in theNew Zealand Women's National League.
The club also competes in both theChatham Cup andKate Sheppard Cup, New Zealand's premier knockout tournaments for men and women.[3] Both teams received a bye in the2021 Chatham Cup and2021 Kate Sheppard Cup preliminary round[4] with the men's team also receiving a bye in the first round, along with other ranked teams.[5][6][7] The men lost their first game of the Chatham Cup when they lost totier 4 sideNgaruawahia United 2–1.[8][9] The women's team won their first game 2–0 overHibiscus Coast in the Kate Sheppard Cup.[10][11]
