West Air is alow-cost airline based inLiangjiang,Chongqing, China,[1] operating a scheduled passenger network to domestic and international destinations out of its main hub,Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, as well as its second hub inZhengzhou.[2] The company was established in March 2007 by its parent companyHNA Aviation, with the launch of scheduled services on 14 June 2007.[3] The airline was one of the four founding members of theU-FLY Alliance.
On 4 February 2016, West Air launched its inaugural international flight betweenChongqing andSingapore.[4][5]
