Weeradej Phupisit (Thai:วีระเดช ภู่พิสิฐ,RTGS: Wiradet Phuphisit) is a Thai politician, currently the president of theLamphunProvincial Administrative Organization (PAO) since 2025.[1][2] Weeradej is the first member of thePeople's Party (or its progressive predecessors, theFuture Forward Party andMove Forward Party) to win a PAO election in Thailand.[3][4][5]

Weeradej won the 2025 Provincial Administrative Organization chairman election in Lamphun, narrowly beating formerPheu Thai PAO chairman and cabinet minister Anusorn Wongwan.[6][7] Former prime ministerThaksin Shinawatra had campaigned for Anusorn in Lamphun the week of the election.[8][9]
