Wattignies-la-Victoire (French pronunciation:[watiɲilaviktwaʁ]) is acommune in theNord department of northernFrance.[3] It is close to the site of theBattle of Wattignies, fought in 1793 during theFrench Revolutionary Wars, in which the French scored a victory overAustria.
