Wappameshi

Wappa meshi (わっぱ飯) is aJapanese dish cooked in special round containers (calledwappa, which can be used asBento boxes) made of thin wooden sheets. It is rice topped with other ingredients and is a specialty of theNiigata[1] orFukushima Prefecture.[2]
