In 2006 Wales won theEuropean Women Sevens Championship after beatingEngland 10–7 in the final.
In 2012 they competed in round 2 of theEuropean Women's Sevens Series which also acted as a qualifier for the2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens. They failed to qualify after finishing in 11th place overall.[1]
Wales finished in fifth place at the2017 Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series and qualified for the2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.[2][3] They defeatedSouth Africa 19–14 in the seventh place playoff.[4]
