Waimata is a rural community in theHauraki District andWaikato region of New Zealand'sNorth Island.[1]

The population of Waimata and its surrounds was 138 people in 54 households in the2013 New Zealand census.[2]

Education

Waimata School is a co-educational state primary school,[3] with a roll of 62 as of July 2025.[4][5]
