TheWaigeou cuscus orWaigeou spotted cuscus (Spilocuscus papuensis) is a species ofmarsupial in the familyPhalangeridae. It isendemic to the island ofWaigeo inIndonesia,[2] and consequently the spellingWaigeo cuscus is often used instead of Waigeou cuscus. Unlike all other members of the genusSpilocuscus, both genders are whitish with black spots. It remains fairly common, but its small range makes itvulnerable tohabitat loss and hunting.
