WXWX 1 (96.3FM) is aradio stationlicensed to the town ofMarietta, Mississippi and owned by Mike Brandt, through licensee Southern Broadcasting LLC.[3] It features aTop 40 (CHR)format known asWild 96.3. The previousprogramming was asimulcast arrangement with country-formattedWADI, but the two stations have different owners and have coverage areas which overlap.
WXWX began broadcasting in 2008, and aired asports format, as an affiliate ofESPN Radio.[1][4] In summer 2016, the station dropped its sports format.[4] It later adopted analternative rock format, simulcasting "I96"WIVG inTunica, Mississippi.[5]
As of November 25, 2022, the station flipped to Top 40/CHR as "Wild 96.3".[6]
