WRC Promoter GmbH is a media company based inMunich, jointly owned byRed Bull GmbH and KW25. The company is responsible for all commercial aspects of theWorld Rally Championship andEuropean Rally Championship.
Following the former media governing body of theWorld Rally Championship, Convers Sports Initiatives (acquiredInternational Sportsworld Communicators), enteredadministration,Red Bull GmbH, WRC Promoter GmbH's owner, was announced as the new promoter from the2013 season.[1]
The company launched aover-the-top media service, WRC+, in2014, offering a subscription-basedstreaming service that covers everyWorld Rally Championshipevent.[2] The service was rebranded toRally.TV in2023, featuring two more series,European Rally Championship andWorld Rallycross Championship.[3]
In August 2024, it was reported that the company was for sale at a valuation of $550 million.[4]
