WAGH is licensed to serve the community ofSmiths, Alabama, United States.[3] The station is currently owned byiHeartMedia, Inc. (with the license held by iHM Licenses, LLC) and features programming fromPremiere Networks, includingThe Steve Harvey Morning Show.[4] Its studios are in Columbus east of downtown, and its transmitter is outsideLadonia, Alabama.

In September 2004, this station, then known asWBFA, flipped from acontemporary hit radio format branded as "B101" to anurban contemporary/hip-hop music format branded as "The Beat".[5] In September 2007, this format, branding, and theWBFA call letters were swapped with sister station WAGH. The station was assigned the WAGH call letters by theFederal Communications Commission on September 4, 2007.[1]
