Vural Öger (born 1 February 1942) is a Turkish-German businessman and politician who served as aMember of the European Parliament from 2004 until 2009. He is a member of theSocial Democratic Party of Germany, part of theSocialist Group.
Born inAnkara, Öger is ofTurkish descent,[1] but has spent most of his life in Germany. During his time in Parliament, he served on theCommittee on Foreign Affairs. He was a substitute for theCommittee on Transport and Tourism, a member of the Delegation to theEU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee and a substitute for the Delegation for relations with theKorean Peninsula.
