Vitanovac is a village situated inKraljevo municipality inSerbia.,[1] 30 miles south ofKragujevac. DuringWorld War I it was the location of a "Vitanovatz Dispensary" where nurses from theU.K. andBritish Commonwealth came to the aid ofSerbia and in late 1915 with the Serbian army retreated throughMontenegro andAlbania toGreece instead of surrendering to theCentral Powers.[2]
