Visitors toKyrgyzstan must obtain an e-Visa unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries or citizens who may obtain a visa on arrival.

Kyrgyzstan's visa and other migration policies are also implemented in accordance with themobility rights arrangements within the Commonwealth of Independent States and the rules of thesingle market of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Visa exemption

Ordinary passports

Holders of ordinary passports of the following countries and territories may enter Kyrgyzstan without a visa for stays up to the duration listed below:[1][2][3][4]

ID - May enter with an ID card in lieu of a passport.
IP - May enter with aninternal passport in lieu of a passport.
PR - Also for permanent residents residing in the list of eligible countries, provided they hold proof of a hotel reservation and a return ticket.
1 - Passport Holders of these countries must present proof of a hotel reservation and a return ticket to qualify for visa-exemption.

Conditional visa-free access

In addition, citizens ofChina arriving through the checkpoint atManas International Airport may stay visa-free for up to 7 days if: a) they have a voucher (which may be purchased upon arrival at Manas International Airport) with a value of at least 500 USD and a return air ticket to their country of citizenship or to a third country with the right to re-enter visa-free after 21 days from the date of departure; b) or with long-term visas (for a period of more than 3 years) ofthe United States of America,the United Kingdom of Great Britain,the Schengen Area orthe Republic of Ireland, where they can stay visa-free for 7 days with the right to re-enter visa-free after 21 days from the date of departure (7 days within any 21-day period).[4]

Non-ordinary passports

In addition to countries whose citizens are visa-exempt, only holders of diplomatic or official / service passports ofChina,India,Indonesia,Iran,Morocco andTurkmenistan may enter Kyrgyzstan without a visa.

Kyrgyzstan signed mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports withAlbania,Montenegro,Thailand andVenezuela in September 2024 and they are yet to be ratified.[14][15][16][17]

From 1 September 2017, citizens of all countries and territories may apply for tourism, business and group tourist types of visa for 30 or 60 days online through the e-Visa system.

e-Visa holders must arrive viaManas orOsh airports or through land crossings withChina (atIrkeshtam andTorugart),Kazakhstan (atAk-jol,Ak-Tilek,Chaldybar,Chon-Kapka),Tajikistan (atBor-Dobo,Kulundu,Kyzyl-Bel) andUzbekistan (at Dostuk-Dostlik, north ofOsh).[18][19]

Simplified visa procedure

Citizens of the following countries may obtain a short-term entry-exit visa under a simplified procedure:[20]

1 - Only business or tourist visa.
2 - Only tourist visa (up to 1 month maximum period) if these citizens have a valid residence permit (resident card) of the following countries stated below:
All countries of theGulf Cooperation Council (GCC),Brunei,Singapore,Thailand andVietnam.

Admission restrictions

Entry and transit is refused to citizens ofKosovo, even if not leaving the aircraft and proceeding by the same flight. Kyrgyzstan also does not recognize the passports ofAbkhazia, theSahrawi Republic,Somaliland,South Ossetia andTransnistria.
