Virginia M. Miller is an American comparative physiologist who is a professor emerita and former Director of the Women's Health Research Center at theMayo Clinic. Her research considered how sex hormones such asestrogen impact cardiovascular health.
Miller earned her bachelor's degree in education atSlippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.[1] She earned aMaster of Business Administration at theUniversity of Minnesota.[1][2] She moved to theUniversity of Missouri for graduate studies, where she specialized in physiology.[1]
Miller dedicated her career to better understanding women's health.[3] Miller studied sex hormones and their role in cardiovascular health. She served as Principal Investigator of theMayo Clinic Building Interdisciplinary Careers in Women’s Health scholar's program.[4]
