Virginia's 25th Senate district is one of 40 districts in theSenate of Virginia. Since 2024 it has been represented byRepublicanRichard Stuart.

Geography

Prior to 2024, District 25 was based in theCity of Charlottesville and much of surroundingAlbemarle County, stretching to also include all ofAlleghany County,Bath County,Highland County,Nelson County,Rockbridge County, and the cities ofBuena Vista,Covington, andLexington.[3]

The district overlapped with Virginia's5th and6th congressional districts, and with the19th,20th,24th,25th,57th,58th, and59th districts of theVirginia House of Delegates.[4] It borders the state ofWest Virginia.[1]
