Virgin Produced was founded in 2010 in Los Angeles, California^[3] as the film and television development, packaging and production arm of SirRichard Branson'sVirgin Group. The CEO of Virgin Produced was Jason Felts until his retirement in 2022^[4][5] and the CCO wasJustin Berfield.^[6]

In April 2012, Virgin Produced launched its own digital network, the Virgin Produced Channel, with programming of lifestyle, music, travel, technology and comedy content available onVirgin America.^[7]

In 2013, Virgin Produced launched Virgin Produced India, which develops, packages, produces and distributes film and television content inBollywood.^[8]
