Vimalanatha was the thirteenthJainTirthankara of the present age (Avasarpini). According to Jain beliefs, he became aSiddha, aliberated soul which has destroyed all of itskarma. Vimalanatha was born to King Kratavarma and Queen Shyamadevi atKampilya of theIkshvaku dynasty. His birth date was the third day of the Magh Sukla month of the Indian calendar.

Biography

Vimalanatha was the thirteenthJainTirthankara of the present age (Avasarpini).[2] According to Jain beliefs, he became aSiddha, aliberated soul which has destroyed all of itskarma. Vimalanatha was born to King Kratavarma and Queen Shyama Devi at Kampilaji of theIkshvaku dynasty. His birth date was the third day of the Magh Sukla month of the Indian calendar.[2] His height is mentioned as 60dhanusha.[3] He is said to have lived for 6,000,000 years.[3]

Vimalantha is said to have been born 30sagara after his predecessor,Vasupujya.[3] His successor,Anantanatha, is said to have been born 9sagara after him.[3]
