Villers-sur-Lesse (Walloon:Viyé-so-Lesse) is a village ofWallonia and a district of the municipality ofRochefort, located in theprovince of Namur,Belgium.
In theMiddle Ages, the village was a small fief, held by avassal of thePrince-Bishop of Liège. TheChâteau de Villers-sur-Lesse [de] dates from the 14th century and was acquired by theRoyal family of Belgium in 1892. In the 1930s, the future KingLeopold III andPrincess Astrid spent their time here on several occasions. It is today a part of theRoyal Trust. In Villers-sur-Lesse there are also two historical fortified farms.[1]
