Vilanterol is anultra-long-acting β2-adrenoceptor agonist which was approved in May 2013 in combination withfluticasone furoate for sale asBreo Ellipta byGlaxoSmithKline for the treatment ofchronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).[1][2] The combination is also approved for the treatment ofasthma in Canada, Europe, Japan[3] and New Zealand.[4]
