Victoria United Football Club was a Scottishfootball team that played in the city ofAberdeen.

History

It was formed in 1889 and dissolved on 14 April 1903 when it merged withAberdeen andOrion to form the currentAberdeen F.C.[1]

Victoria won oneNorthern League championship, in 1898. It also won the Rhodesia Cup, 1899–1900 and 1902–03 (contested between the three senior Aberdeen clubs: Aberdeen, Orion and Victoria United).[2] Not all of the players and fans moved over to the new combine, six of the players joiningthe newly-senior Bon Accord, and some of the supporters followed suit.[3]

Colours

The club originally played in light blue shirts and dark blue shorts and socks .[4]

Ground

The club originally played at the Recreation Grounds in Aberdeen.[5] In 1894 it moved to Victoria Bridge.[6]
