Ved Prakash Gupta (born 18 February 1948[1]) is an Indian politician fromUttar Pradesh.[2][3] In 2022, Ved Prakash Gupta, a member of theBharatiya Janata Party, won from the prestigiousAyodhya Assembly constituency, where theRam Mandir is located.[3][4]
He is currently serving as a legislator (MLA) in the18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Previously, he served as a member of the17th Uttar Pradesh Assembly, representing the Ayodhya Assembly constituency.[5][3][4]
Following the2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election he was re-elected as an MLA from the Ayodhya Assembly constituency after defeatingSamajwadi Party candidate Tej Narayan Pandey by a margin of 19,990 votes.[2][6]
