Vatin (Serbian Cyrillic:Ватин;Hungarian:Versecvát) is avillage located in the municipality ofVršac, Serbia. A border crossing between Serbia and Romania is located in the village. The village has aSerb ethnic majority (53.2%) with a sizableHungarian minority (26.8%) and its population numbers 128 inhabitants (2022 census).
InSerbian, the village is known asVatin (Ватин), inHungarian asVersecvát, and inGerman asWattin.


Bronze Age graves of south Russian steppe nomads were found in the village, as well as 14th century BC duck-shaped vases.[4]
Just outside the village there areVatin circles that were estimated to belong to theVinča culture.[5][6][7][8][9]
