Vargahan (Persian :ورگهان )[ a] is a village in, and the capital of,Vargahan Rural District in theCentral District ofAhar County ,East Azerbaijan province,Iran .[ 4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 960 in 208 households.[ 5] The following census in 2011 counted 923 people in 243 households.[ 6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 861 people in 231 households.[ 2]
