The 5th constituency of theVar (French :Cinquième circonscription du Var ) is a French legislativeconstituency in the Vardépartement
The 4th constituency of theVar lies in the east of the department around the historic town ofFréjus and the neighbouring town ofSaint-Raphaël .
The constituency has traditionally supported centre right candidates, however in the 2017 election the mainstream conservativeThe Republicans candidate came third in the first round behind both theEmmanuel Macron backedMoDems and the far rightNational Front .[ 2]
