Van Sung's shrew (Chodsigoa caovansunga), also known asCao Van Sung mountain shrew[3] is aspecies ofshrew in theSoricomorpha order.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] Specimens ofChodsigoa caovansunga have been found inVietnam.[13][14]
Chodsigoa caovansunga was named afterCao Van Sung, a small-mammal specialist at theInstitute of Ecology and Biological Resources inHanoi. Thetype locality is situated at 1,500 m (4,900 ft) altitude (22° 45'27 "N 104° 49'49" W) on MountTay Con Linh II in the town ofCao Bo, districtVi Xuyen, in the province ofHa Giang.C. caovansunga a small species with a relatively short tail without brush of long hair on its end. The hands and feet are brownish in color.[14]
