Vallassinese is variety of theWestern Lombard language spoken in theVallassina valley of Italy (about 6,000 speakers). It belongs to theComasco-Lecchese group and it has many subdialects.
Asso subdialect resembles toCanzés (Brianzoeu group), but it has some characteristics fromValbrona dialect.
Valbrona subdialect has influences fromLecchese (Comasco-Lecchese group)
InSormano,Caglio,Rezzago there are influences from dialect ofPian del Tivano (north), which has isolated characteristics (like the presence ofò instead of stresseda in all closed syllables, phenomenon that you can sometimes see in NorthernBrianzoeu but only in syllables closed byl) and fromLaghée.
InLasnigo,Barni,Magreglio andCivenna there are influences fromLaghée.
