Swiss women's football tournament

TheValais Women's Cup was aSwiss invitationalwomen's football tournament played each year inChâtel-St-Denis andSavièse. It was part of the Valais Summer Cups.

Held from 22 – 25 September, the inaugural edition was contested by national teams, includingLondon Olympics quarterfinalistsBrazil andNew Zealand. New Zealand won the tournament, its first trophy outside the OFC since the 1975Asian Cup.[1]

The second edition was held from 7 – 9 August and switched from national teams to clubs.[2] It was contested by French champion and runner-upOlympique Lyonnais andParis St.-Germain, Spanish championFC Barcelona and BeNe League's 8thRSC Anderlecht. The final confronted both French teams, with Lyon winning the trophy.[3]

It was held from 14 – 16 August, and it was contested by European runner-upParis St.-Germain, French championOlympique Lyonnais, German championBayern Munich and Swiss championFC Zürich. Bayern won the trophy, beating defending champion Lyon in the final.[4]
