Val-de-Vie (French pronunciation:[valdəvi]) is acommune in thedepartment ofCalvados, northwesternFrance. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 by merger of the former communes ofSainte-Foy-de-Montgommery,La Brévière,La Chapelle-Haute-Grue andSaint-Germain-de-Montgommery.[3] It is named for its location in the valley of theVie River [fr;de].
