Väte is a populated area, asocken (not to be confused withparish), on the Swedish island ofGotland.[3] It comprises the same area as theadministrative Väte District, established on 1 January 2016.[4]
TheNorrbys museum farm in Väte is the only Cultural Reserve on Gotland. It is run and maintained byGotland Museum. The farm is kept in the same way as it was in the 1930s.[5]
Väte is situated in the central part of Gotland.[6] ThemedievalVäte Church is located in the socken.[7] As of 2019[update], Väte Church belongs to Väteparish in Klintepastorat.[8][9]
