Hiya, can I have a look at TolBot's code pls, specifically task 4. Thanks,Polygnotus (talk)23:11, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Polygnotus: Added atm:User:TolBot/Task 4#Source. I do note that it's just a rather lazy/suboptimal regex approach.Tol (talk |contribs) @20:59, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! According toWikipedia:Categorization#Categorizing_draft_pages there are 4 methods, So it would be cool if the code could handle those 4, then deduplicate and then insert atMOS:ORDER. So the idea would be to identify nowikied and commented out bits of text, add those to the pool and remove the nowiki tag/start or end comments if they contain nothing but cats and whitespace. SeeUser:Polygnotus/Scripts/DraftCategories.js.Polygnotus (talk)12:22, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take a look at this shortly when I have capacity.Tol (talk |contribs) @23:22, 2 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

How can I edit this page? I have created this page 11 years ago but I forgot my old login details. --Drnmallick (talk)16:02, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromKaavyaimmandi (01:43, 24 November 2025)

[edit]

Hi, I am new to Wikipedia and I am interesting in writing a summary for an existing draft of “Religion and the Decline of Magic” by Keith Thomas. How may I go about that? Or do I need to create a new draft? --Kaavyaimmandi (talk)01:43, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Kaavyaimmandi; welcome to Wikipedia. It sounds like you're referring toDraft:Religion and the Decline of Magic, but I'm not sure what you mean by "writing a summary". You are more than welcome to edit the draft to improve it and make it more appropriate for publication. Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.Tol (talk |contribs) @22:40, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question fromKAIWG (15:23, 25 November 2025)

[edit]

Hello Tol! It would appear that I've been assigned as your mentee here on Wikipedia and I'm eager to learn from your guidance.I've no prior experience with editing, but I've already completed TWA as well as visited the "Your first article" and "A primer for newcomers".

I decided to jump right in the far end of the pool and start my journey as a Wikipedia editor writing an brand new article for the encyclopedia. I realize this might not be the recommended approach, but worry not! The article should published in my user space so not to interfere with the main space - impressive, right? B-)

Regards, KAIWG --KAIWG (talk)15:23, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @KAIWG; welcome to Wikipedia — I'm glad to hear of your experiences thus far. It seems that you're referring toUser:KAIWG/Shindenkan. As you've already readHelp:Your first article, I'm sure you're aware, but the primary thing I'd emphasise for new users seeking to create an article isnotability. Again, welcome, and please feel free to ask if you have any questions for me.Tol (talk |contribs) @21:31, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
